THE COURSE

Starting from the perspective of the undeniable relevance of the environmental issue today, and recognizing the need for continuous and qualified training of professionals prepared to address this dimension in a critical and analytical way, with a multidisciplinary understanding, the Postgraduate Program in Environment and Water Resources (POSMARH) at the Federal University of Itajubá was conceived.

The program is aimed at graduates in various fields of study, such as engineering, exact sciences, biological sciences, environmental management, atmospheric sciences, and related fields. It seeks to train researchers and teachers capable of generating and disseminating knowledge about the following topics: water resources, environment, climate, and sustainable development.

The diversity of POSMARH also extends to its faculty, composed of researchers working in the areas of: Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Biological Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Agronomy, Civil Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Water Resources, Law, Energy, Biodiversity Conservation, and Ecology.

In accordance with UNIFEI’s Internationalization Plan, POSMARH also welcomes foreign students and faculty, who can join the program through a selection process for admission (students) and hiring (faculty).

Currently, POSMARH operates at the Master’s and Doctoral levels.
