The Program has sought partnerships and received support from several nationally and internationally renowned institutions. Of particular note are partnerships with Embrapa, Epamig, UFLA, ESALQ-USP, the Carlos Chagas Filho Institute of Biophysics (IBCC-UFRJ), UFV, and several companies in the productive sector located in Itajubá, such as AREVA, Mahle, and Helibrás, among others, which enable the development of applied research. In addition to these, there are projects developed in conjunction with FURNAS, CEMIG, and SUPRAM.

The Program also maintains an agreement with the National Institute for Space Research – INPE, through cooperation and scientific exchange, which includes research, development, training and development of human resources, absorption and technology transfer. Also noteworthy is the participation of Professor Roger Torres in collaboration with CEPAGRI/Unicamp and the Faculty of Public Health of USP, through the  CiAdapta project  , and the participation of Professor Benedito Cláudio Silva in the Climate Network project:  Global Climate Change in Brazil .

The program maintains partnerships with USP (Department of Atmospheric Sciences, with a jointly published article in 2019), UFMG (an article published in 2019 resulting from the co-supervision of a student in the Sanitation, Environment and Water Resources Program) and UFRJ (participation as a permanent member of the Meteorology Program) through Prof. Vanessa Silveira Barreto Carvalho.

A partnership was established with UNIFESP (Prof. Werner Hanish) and the Botanical Institute (Prof. Andrea Tucci) for the development of student Natália Miranda Goulart’s dissertation. Partnerships were also established with professors from UFRN (Prof. Weber Andrade Gonçalves), INPE (Prof. Izabelly Carvalho da Costa), and USP (Prof. Rachel Ifanger Albrecht) in projects coordinated by Prof. Enrique Vieira Mattos. The program hosted Professor Marcel Carvalho Abreu, from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, to teach a mini-course on the “R Software”.

The program shows the exchange between professors who co-supervise theses:

a) Leonardo Frasson dos Reis, from UEMG – Universidade Estadual de Minas Gerais, PhD in Neuroscience and Cognition from the Universidade Federal do ABC, with a background in Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences.

b)  Werner Siegfried Hanisch, Chemical Engineer, PhD in Hydraulics and Sanitation from the University of São Paulo.

c)  Liliana Auxiliadora Avelar Pereira Pasin, PhD in Agronomy from the Federal University of Lavras and professor at the Itajubá Teaching and Research Foundation – FEPI.

d) Luiz Fernando de Oliveira da Silva, PhD in Phytotechnics/Fruit Growing from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), is a Researcher at the Agricultural Research Company of Minas Gerais (EPAMIG) and Coordinator of the State Research Program in Olive Growing.

e) Emerson Dias Gonçalves, PhD in Agronomy from the Federal University of Pelotas and researcher at the Agricultural Research Company of Minas Gerais.

f)Rachel Ifanger Albrecht, Department of Atmospheric Sciences (DCA), Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences (IAG), University of São Paulo (USP).

g) Izabelly Carvalho da Costa, Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Studies (CPTEC), National Institute for Space Research (INPE).

i) Gabriela Marques Di Giulio, PhD in Environment and Society, University of São Paulo, Faculty of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health.

j) Francisca Alcivânia de Melo e Silva, PhD in Agronomy (Energy in Agriculture) from the São Paulo State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (2005). Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at UNESP’s Experimental Campus in Registro, São Paulo.

l) Reginaldo Barboza da Silva, PhD (2002) in Agronomy (area of ​​concentration in Soils and Plant Nutrition) from the Federal University of Lavras/UFLA, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), in the areas of Physics and Conservation of Soil and Water.

m) Rosmeri P. da Rocha holds a doctorate in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research (1999). Currently, she is a professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of São Paulo.

n) Gustavo Carlos Juan Escobar, PhD in Atmospheric Sciences (2001) from the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), researcher at the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Studies (CPTEC/INPE).
